The research of the course aimed at the development of an algorithm that is able to apply to any double curvature surface the principles of kirigami.
The process started from a study of decorative art and throughout a scientific research we considered the possible application in the field of architecture.
Among different materials and the study of their behaviors the research developed a multitude of different configurations.
Grasshopper program helped us to test these models and their geometries with applied physical forces to locally obtain the wanted results.
The created script can be applied to construct and test any architectural shapes following the principle of the kirigami art.
